Rock Climbing in Korea
South Korea is covered in mountains. The country is composed of 70% mountainous terrain, and within that landscape, there are amazing unique rock formations that await to be discovered and climbed. With hard granite ledges in the north, pocketed limestone in the south and everything in between, the South Korea is a geological gallery that is easily accessible (check out the iGuideKorea special podcast on the rock climbing in South Korea). In this environment, world-class climbers and mountaineers have been forged, and life long climbing partnerships have been fused. With an active national and expat climbing community, rock climbing is a excellent way to experience the country.
