IGK COMMUNITY CLIMBS
About IGK Community Climbs:
We have been inspired by our clients and friends who have made it possible for us to creatr IGK Community Climbs because we care about you and those of you who are newcomers to this wonderful extreme outdoor activity. All interested are welcome!
We have our previous clients and newcomers' best climbing interests in mind because we teach very basic and fundamental climbing skills to those who are climbing for the first time ever. We also give previous clients the chance to gain the "hands-on" practice and experience that is needed to develop and master skill sets taught to them in previously taken IGK courses because we understand how difficult it can be to retain newly taught skills learned in a previous course.
Most importantly, the IGK difference is that we understand how nerve-racking and risky climbing can feel when practicing newly learned skills on one's own for the first time or with a partner whom one barely just met for the first time; hence, IGK has opted for the best way to help our clients practice, review, get to know each other and gain the confidence that will help enable them to take their skills above and beyond under the care and supervision of experienced instructors and guides.
So come join us today for IGK's next Community Climb!

About This Trip:
After we have met and made the short ride to GyeryongSan, we will fit shoes, followed by a twenty minute hike to the crag. Once at the crag, we will fit gear and briefly discuss safety awareness and basic climbing techniques to help you up the rock. Our instructors will set up a number of top-ropes on various routes throughout the day in order to give you a fuller and more exciting experience out on the rock.
What To Bring:
Don't worry about the climbing gear. IGK PROVIDES ALL THE NECESSARY CLIMBING GEAR! This includes: helmet, shoes, harness, and chalkbag.
Rock climbing involves a lot of flexible movement, so we recommend that you wear loose fitting clothing and a pair of hikers or tennies for the hike in. Although TEVAs should be fine, please do not wear slipper-like sandals or thong sandals in order to hike in; however, sandals and slippers packed in on the hike make comfortable feet while not climbing in the normally less than comfortable climbing shoes.

IGK CC Refund Policy:
Cancellations made no less than one week prior to the intended Community Climbs may either be credited to a future CC date or completely refunded. Any cancellations made within the week of the intended CC is penalty to a maximum of refund of 50%. If the client is penalized this 50%, but would however like to participate in any of the upcoming CC events, the remaining 50% will be credited to their next payment toward the next IGK-CC event.
Although the trip will be in the early part of April, it will likely be chilly and possibly even cold. So, we recommend that you wear more than just a single layer. We suggest a loose nylon short-sleeve shirt, a long-sleeve fleece shirt, a fleece jacket and a lightweight windbreaker. Please avoid wearing cotton, for example, tight blue jeans and cotton shirts!
A small backpack, hat, camera, half liter of water, tissue and a cold lunch should do the trick!
IGK CC Rain & Refund Policy:
Despite weather forcasts or conditions, IGK CC events will continue as planned because we do go "harder and higher" at IGK. In the unfortunate event that precipitation prevails to the point where IGK deems climbing to be unsafe, we will go for a pleasant day hike along one the several courses of that park. If absolutely no climbing is done throughout the day due to deteriorating weather conditions, IGK will refund 50% of your original payment in order to cover basic costs per client and processing fee.
